Hazel graduated from Samford University Pharmacy School in 1973. Prior to retirement, she worked at Cooper Green and other pharmacies, including her own in Gadsden.
She was an avid horse lover in her younger days. Hazel loved plants, gardening and reading. She loved her children with all her heart.
Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Charles Massey Jr. (Cam); siblings, Margie Kimbrough, Louise Parsons, Joan Noel, Nelma Burton, Jim Musgrove, Bill Musgrove, Jack Musgrove and Tom Musgrove; parents, Lou and Cicero Musgrove.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Massey, Lincoln; grandsons, Charles Massey III (Trey) and Josh Hunter, both of Gadsden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
