

Funeral Service will be at 11am Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tony Skala officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 10 until 11am and also Tuesday evening August 12, 2025 from 6 until 8pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
Helen is survived by her children, Dean (Janice) Hulsey, Hoyt (Cindy) Hulsey, Terre Gidley (Wayne) Baswell, and Tony (Alyson) Hulsey; grandchildren, Amanda Gidley (Terry) Pulford, Anthony (Shannon) Hulsey, Andrew (Lauren) Gidley, Tyler (Kelli) Hulsey, Kacy Hulsey (Michael) Desindes, Fielding (Jessica) Hulsey, Melanie Skala, Micah (Amber) Gidley, son in law, Tony Skala, and brother (Butch) Hillman Lee (Nell) Ramsey; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross Almos and Mattie Belle (Gartman) Ramsey, her husband of 65 years, Willard B. (Red) Hulsey, daughter, Jackie Faye Hulsey Skala, sister, Hazel (Jim) Rogers, brother, Bobby Ross Ramsey and son in law, Harry James Gidley.
Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend who was always there to take care of everyone. She was a talented cook, hard worker, loved to garden, and was a dedicated provider. In addition to raising her own children, she also helped care for several adolescent family members in need. She worked a wide range of jobs from driving a school bus, baking, and decorating custom cakes and treats, catering events, working at Gulf State Steel Plant and too many various other jobs to list. She loved taking her family on trips to the beach or mountains. In her later years after her husband's retirement, they enjoyed traveling to Red's Army buddies reunions across the U.S. Helen's wisdom, generosity, talent, kindness, and love will never be forgotten by any who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace forever in Heaven.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Hulsey Jr., Andrew Gidley, Fielding Hulsey, Micah Gidley, Terry Pulford and Wayne Baswell.
