Maxine, (Maw-Maw as everyone knew her) was a god-fearing woman who loved to teach the word of God to her “babies”. She loved to work in the nursery at church. She was a very loyal woman, and never met a stranger. Everyone knew how old she was, how long she had been married, and how much she absolutely loved all her family and friends. She was always sassy and never failed to let us know what she was thinking.
The kitchen is where all the family gatherings happened, where many decisions were made, and was always filled with love and laughter.
Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She kept her tree up all year. She could tell you about every ornament and gift that was given to her. She was so very special and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Jordan Sr.; parents, Byron and Thelma Causey; sisters, Louise Snow, Patricia Holaway, and Collene Hayes; brother, Byron (Buddy) Causey; granddaughter, Julie Lynn Hollingsworth, and two heavenly granddaughters.
Maxine is survived by her sons, Paul David Jr. (Kathy), of Trussville, AL, Michael (Karen), of Union City, TN, James (Pam), of Rainbow City, AL, and Phillip (Shelly), of Attalla, AL; 11 grandchildren, and a host of great - grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren; sisters, Mary George, and Jan (Jimmy) Smith; and brother, Don (Laura) Causey.
Pallbearers are Dallas, Dustin, Christopher, and Matthew Jordan; John-David Smith, Jason Means, Richard Bolt, and Eric Roebuck.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Northside Health Care for loving and caring for her.
