
Private Funeral Services was held Friday, May 25th at Rainbow Memorial Gardens for Henry “Hank” Wesley Hodge, 79 of Gadsden who passed away May 19th 2018. He is survived by his wife, Joy Lasseter Hodge of 60 years. The Rev. Emmitt “Pettus” Roper officiated the funeral with military honors.
Hank graduated from Alexandria High School. He attended Jacksonville State University and the Alabama School of Trade. He joined the Navy Seabees as an electrician in 1958. He retired in June 6, 1977 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He served in the National Guard for 2 years before joining the Seabees. He had 2 tours in Vietnam.
Hank was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lanier and Mattie Browning, John and Bell Hodge; parents, Huston H. and Martha F. Hodge; sister, Joyce Marie Hodge, and brother, Larry Wayne Hoder; father and mother in law, Tom and Inez Lasseter and sister in law, Brenda Lasseter Mays and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Hodge; son, Keith Hodge; granddaughter, April Hodge; great granddaughter, Mila Hodge; brother, Johnny (Joyce) ; sister, Dianne Shelton (Bobby) and several nieces and nephews.
