Herbert Mac Stevens

Mac was a Christian who found joy in the simple things in life. He was a hardworking man with a caring heart, a great sense of humor, and an incredible love for his family. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. If you knew Mac, you knew he probably had a story for just about everything, and he had a way of making people laugh even when they needed it most.

Mac loved riding motorcycles, fishing, Auburn football, and, most of all, spending time with the people he loved. He especially treasured the time he spent with his family and his grandchildren, Bonnie and Lainey. Being a husband, father, and Poppy was one of the greatest joys of his life.

Mac leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with love, laughter, stories, and friendship. He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Candi Stevens; daughter, Mirakle Stevens; grandchildren, Bonnie and Lainey Webb; sister, Samantha Stevens; mother-in-law, Pamela Pinkerton; sister-in-law, Amanda Turner; aunts, Sherry Whaley and Donna Allred; chosen parents, Bill and Pat Reynolds; and a host of extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love him.

Mac was preceded in death by his beloved sons, Izak “Trey” Stevens and Isaiah Mac Stevens; his mother, Sandra “Katie” Stevens; aunt, Norma Allred; and niece, Destiny Stevens.

Mac was so much more than the roles he held in his family. He was a husband, father, Poppy, son, brother, uncle, friend, and a person others could count on. His kindness, his willingness to help others, his laughter, and especially his stories will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

His family takes comfort in knowing that Mac is now reunited with the loved ones who went before him, and that the love he gave so freely will continue through the family and friends he leaves behind.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to Josh, Debbie, A.J., and Rosalee Henry for their love, friendship, and support during this difficult time. The family also wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Riverview Hospital ICU staff, especially Nurse Allison Schofield, for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they showed Mac and his family.

Mac’s life was a gift to those who knew him. His stories will be told, his laughter will be remembered, and his presence will be missed more than words can ever express.He was deeply loved. He will never be forgotten.

Please join us in honoring and celebrating Mac’s life on Saturday, September 12th. Visitation will be held from 1:00–3:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and offer love and support. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM as we gather to remember Mac, celebrate the life they shared with us, and hold their memory close in our hearts.
