Leroy was a simple country boy at heart. Born and raised on Chandler Mountain, he started his own business “Smith Tomato”, which he and his family have continued for more than thirty years. Mr. Smith took pride in his work, and instilled the same ethics in his children who carry on the business today. Leroy played just as hard as he worked, and in his free time he could usually be found shooting pool, riding his Harley in the sunshine, or singing out loud to any classic rock song that came over the radio.
He lived a life filled with laughter and music, with his hands in the dirt, and will be remembered by all who knew him as a good man- a hard worker- and willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Those preceding him in passing include his son, Scotty Hubbard; his parents, Ray and Mary Smith; nine brothers and two sisters.
He leaves behind;
Loving wife, Kathy Studdard Smith.
Children, Kista (Jon) Lowe,
Phillip (Mandy) Smith,
Chad (Esther) Smith.
Brothers, Bobby Smith and Wayne Smith.
Granddaughters- Delaney, Skylar, Kady and Braelyn.
Along with a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Eddie Dailey, Marty Farmer, Todd Smith, Paublo Vizarraga, Todd Payne, and Carl “Mater” Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dillon Robinson and Robert McKay.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbors that offered prayers, brought food and encouraged our family throughout this difficult time.
