

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Laura Snell; husbands, A. J. Baker and William E. Heathcoat; sister, Bonnie Snell Mullinax, brothers, Willie Snell and Kenneth Snell.
She is survived by her children, Linda Christopher, Jack Baker (Julie), and Cheryl Heathcoat; grandchildren, Laura Johnson (Shane Martin), Nicky Morris (Corey), DeeDee Stross (Aaron), and Dusty Baker (Cindy); great-grandchildren, Shyla Johnson (Buddy Ellis), Dustin Johnson, Dustin Stross, Ramsey Stross, Dawson Baker, and Aubrey Baker; great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Ellis, Carter Ellis, and Talula Johnson.
Jean was a resident of Etowah County and a 1948 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. She was a devoted member of Riddles Bend Baptist Church and spent the majority of her life faithfully serving the Lord and taking care of her family whom she loved immensely and unconditionally. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10 until 12p.m. at Riddles Bend Baptist Church (5574 Riddles Bend Rd. Rainbow City, AL 35906). The funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Rodney Prickett officiating.
Pallbearers are Jack Baker, Dustin Johnson, Corey Morris, Mark Mullinax, Willie “Bubba” Snell, and John Clark.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riddles Bend Baptist Church or MANNA of Gadsden.
