Jackie Walton Zelsdorf

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M.

Mrs. Zelsdorf was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Zelsdorf; Parents, R.C. and Ruby Sue Walton; and brother, Carey Dale Walton, Sr.

Jackie spent most of her working career serving in the healthcare field- beginning as a nursing aide at McGuffeys. Mrs. Zelsdorf graduated from Gadsden State Community College with a LPN nursing degree in 1991 and worked at Gadsden Health Care during the early 2000’s before her retirement. A longtime member of Carnes Chapel FCM Church, Jackie loved living her life for the Lord and shining His light into the world through her love and service to others. Mrs. Zelsdorf enjoyed watching her favorite T.V. shows, cross-stitching, listening to music, traveling- but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by;

Her daughter, Natasha Zelsdorf; Son-In-Law Bonifacio Jaimez-Reyes; Sister, Teresa Ellis; Sister-in-law, Iva Walton; Chosen sister, Vickie Dawson; beloved family dog, Pixie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
