He was known as Buddy to everyone who knew him because he was the best buddy anyone could ask for!

Although his nickname came from his father, who returned from war and called him his “little buddy,” Buddy developed a love for football. He played football #23 for Emma Sansom High School in 1959, 1960, and 1961. He was also a huge Alabama fan!

He joins his father, Winfred; his mother, Laura Mae; and his brother, David, in heaven.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joanne; his daughter, Holley Adams; three grandchildren, Lauren, Landon, and Lane; two great-grandsons, Coleson and Carter; his big sister, Linda Smith; his little sister, Ann Hicks; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Buddy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 7th, 2026 at 1-5 pm.
