James Thomas "Jimmy" Duncan, Jr., age 49 of Walnut Grove, ascended into Heaven on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Graveside services following at Cornelius Family Cemetery in Walnut Grove.
Jimmy was much loved by his family and friends. He was an avid Alabama fan, a tinkerer, very artistic and loved to draw. Jimmy was a graduate of St. Clair County High School and was known to his grandchildren at Poppa D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Tommy" Duncan and Judy Hawthorne.
Jimmy is survived by his sons, Timothy Scott (Leslie Ann) Duncan and Zachary Thomas (Lauren Ashley) Duncan; daughters, Savannah Jean (Cody James) Myers and Cheyenne Putman; grandchildren, Valerie Duncan, Tyler Duncan, Miaya Myers, Peighton Myers and Grayson Duncan; brother, Clint Hawthorne and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Clem Hawthorne, John Cornelius, Johnny Cornelius, Justin Cornelius, Kevin Moody and Dennis DeShazo.
Family will receive friends for visitation from 6 - 8 P.M. Friday evening at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
