James "Bud" E. Hooks

Funeral Service will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at 2 P.M.

Eulogy will be presented by Rick Causey.

Graveside service and Interment to follow at Aurora Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Morgan Chapel on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 P.M.

Mr. Hooks was of the Baptist faith and retired from TVA and Modern Heating and Cooling. A founding member of Ivalee Volunteer Fire Department, he also enjoyed racing cars at Green Valley Speedway and being outdoors. Known as “Bud” to his many friends and family members, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His pride and joy was his grandson, Adam and he will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

Mr. Hooks was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Seronia Hooks; parents in law, Verbon and Lonnie Mae Goss; brothers, Charles, Gene, Boyd Phillip “Coot”, and Max Hooks; and sister, Johnnie Ruth.

He leaves behind;

Along with a host of nieces and nephews.
