James Edward Loyd

Funeral service will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at 12 Noon.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 A.M. to 12 noon prior to the service in the chapel.

Rev. Terry Tibbs will officiate.

Graveside service and Interment following at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Steele.

Mr. Loyd was a proud veteran of the National Guard and worked as an industrial painter for Barron Industries for numerous years before his health forced him to retire. When able, he enjoyed being outside, hunting and fishing. Mr. Loyd will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and “Pawpaw”. Even in his last few months, as his memory began to fail, he never forgot his beloved grandchildren. Those preceding him in death include; his parents, William Ernie and Irene McAnelly Loyd.

He leaves behind;

Children, Jonathan Loyd (Leah) and Beth Bryant (Chad)

Brother, H.C. Loyd (Wanda)

Sisters, Elizabeth Lacks (Ralph) and Ann Battles (Danny)

Grandchildren, Skylar Kennedy, Dharma Kennedy, Tori Kennedy, Mattie Loyd, Emma Loyd, Eli Loyd, Michael Meadows.

Great grandchild, Amelia Baker.

Pallbearers; Keith Loyd, Danny Battles, Chad Bryant, Skylar Kennedy, Eli Baker, Alex Jacobs.
