

Graveside service and interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday January 3, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Attalla.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
Bro. James Ivy will officiate.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Jewell Rogers and James E. Rogers, Sr.- Jim graduated from the local Birdville High School, Class of 1961 and then joined the United States Navy to proudly serve his country. Mr. Rogers was a member of McEntyre Baptist Church and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 2002. James also enjoyed spending his time volunteering by driving for the VA and serving with Manna.
Mr. Rogers leaves behind; sons, Mark Bangs (wife, Anita) of Rainbow City and John Bangs (wife, Nancy) of Tennessee.
Brother, Jerry Rogers of Fort Worth, TX
Granddaughters, Christina (Michael) Burgess and Kelsey Hardin.
Grandson, Hank Bangs.
Special sister-in-law, Helen Hulsey (Red).
Special brother-in-law, Butch Ramsey (Nell).
Special aunt, Edna “Shorty” Wilson of Texas.
Special chosen daughter, Peggy Hardin of Ohatchee.
Special friend and beloved pastor, Bro. Bobby Joe Winningham (Wife, Bobby Jean) of Rainbow City.
Beloved fur-baby, Dixie.
And a host of special cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McEntyre Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Jim Rogers.
