Jewel Chambers

Jewel was born in 1929, and went to be with the Lord April 28, 2017.

Jewel worked at Belk Hudson for many years also Barton clothing and retired from Michaels Jewelers in the Gadsden Mall. She loved to cook for family gatherings and friends, decorating her house and others and always planting something in the yard.

Her parents were Lois and Joe Tucker. She was preceded in death by husband, Bill Chambers; son, Lamar Mayo; great grandson, Tucker Hays, several brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Myra Mayo Durham (John); Grandchildren, Nicole Hays (Scott), Lindsay Isbell (Eric), Laurie Bean (Matt), Jason Mayo (Sara); Brothers, David Tucker (Jackie), Roy Tucker (Lou), and Donna Mayo, 11 great grandchildren and many other close family and friends.
