She was married to Gordon Keith French, who was a retired dentist in United States Navy. Joanne received her Masters of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Memphis and was a Registered Nurse for many years.
She is survived by her children: Laura French Clark, Gordon Keith French, Jr., Leslie French Duncan and David Nelson French; grandchildren: Joseph Keith Clark, Kenneth Nelson Clark, Erin Clark Nicholson, Russell Bender, Amber Johnson, Kelsey Munro French and Jeremy French.
