John Neil Quinn, age 73, of the Duck Springs Community, went on to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. He is SO very loved and missed by all. To say there is a piece of our hearts missing today would be an understatement.
Funeral Services for Mr. Quinn will be held at Cox Chapel Methodist Church on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be at 11:00 am prior to the service. Bro. Ricky Quinn and Bro. Jeff Chamblee will be officiating the service.
John was born on April 17, 1951. He graduated from Etowah High School with the class of 1970. He then moved on to a long and fruitful career in retail. He married his wife, Beverly, in the summer of 71, and they welcomed their first born son, John,Jr., in 1973. In September of 1975, their second son, Ray was born. Mr. Quinn was a devoted son of God and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His favorite hobbies were absolutely anything he could do to enjoy spending time with his family, which included hunting, fishing, and golfing, to name a few. He thoroughly enjoyed playing a game of pool with his grandkids and letting them think they had him beat; while strategically sinking everyone of his pool balls, just to see the jubilant rise of disbelief, that Pawpaw had patiently waited till the end of the game, to beat them again.
John loved his church family immensely. Church was his home away from home. He loved working for the Lord and enjoyed his time of fellowship with his brothers and sisters in christ.
