Joey spent most of his life in Gadsden and Steele, Alabama. A devoted Alabama fan, he had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed playing the bass guitar. His presence brought joy to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joey was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence Daniel Fowler Sr. and Rubye H. Fowler; sister, Debbie F. Armstrong; brothers, Larry D. Fowler and Greg J. Fowler.
Joey is survived by his son, Joseph C. Fowler Jr.; sister, Teresa F. Phillip; brothers, Alan H. Fowler and Mike W. Fowler; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Joey will be announced at a later date.
