Funeral Service will be at 12pm Friday, June 20, 2026 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Perkins officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening June 19, 2026 from 6 until 8pm.

Burial at Deermans Chapel Cemetery in Steele AL.

Preceded in death by: Husband: Jimmy Ray Battles; Father: James Odis Bearden; Mother: Barbara Bearden Tumlin; Brother: James Edward (Tuter) Bearden.

Survived by: Son: Johnny Ray Battles; Brother: John Henry (Tammy McGuire) Bearden, Gadsden, Al.; Sister: Joann (Jeff) Hancock, Gadsden, Al. Many nieces, nephew’s, and friends that loved her dearly.

Pallbearers: Philip Perkins; Jasper Moon; Nick Howard; Daniel Harper; Jeff Harper; and Tim Simmons.

Juanita was a simple person that loved the Lord and her son Johnny, very much. She always said Johnny Ray was her life. She has served the Lord most all her life and has witnessed to many about the Lord. She never met a stranger and conversation was

her gift. She loved helping in all the functions of the church. She cared for many small children, and they loved her very much, to them she was Nina. Juanita loved to go riding with Johnny, in his truck and loved to go on cruise’s.

Juanita loved animal’s. Her cat, Baby, was her constant companion.
