Judy married Robert Davenport in 1960 and welcomed two boys, Keith and Scott, and two girls, Kelly and Donna. She and Robert raised their family in Attalla. They were members of Cherry Street Baptist Church.
Judy was known for working at the Mini-Mart in Attalla, in which she met so many people who became friends. She worked until 1986, after welcoming her first grandchild which resulted in her dedicating her life to taking care of her grandchildren at her home. Her home became a home full of life, love, and so many precious childhood memories that will never be forgotten. MawMaw Judy’s home was home.
Judy never met a stranger. Her love for fellowship and conversation extended even to stray animals. Her love was so big. Her excitement for your achievements made you feel on top of the world. She was so supportive. She was ready to fight for you. Her laugh was so contagious. Her dancing around was something to see. Her mispronunciation of words could always make you smile. If you hurt, Judy hurt more. She offered help in anyway possible and would apologize for not being able anymore because helping gave her purpose. There was no one like her. She will always be missed by her family. Her life will always be cherished by those who loved her. Her family knows she is rejoicing with her lord and savior. She is healed. She is whole. The memory of Judy is one to have forever.
