Kathryn Jean Day

Kathryn Jean Day, 70, of Attalla, Alabama, passed away on 08 January 2022 at her Home in Ridgeville, Alabama. She was born to parents James Henry Usry and Beulah Leona Usry, on 05 October 1951 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was an amazing woman. Kathy was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Kathy never met a stranger. Always loved to talk to her family and friends. She loved her dogs most definitely Susie, Missy, Zoey, and Wick. She was a lover she loved everyone. She loved to have company. She always took care of everyone and made sure no one needed anything.

Kathryn graduated from High School in 1970.

Kathryn worked as an Associate for 35 Years at Food World.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Basham; son, David Freeman; niece, Sharon Goble(Randy); nephew, Steven Reid; nephew, Rusty Reid; 12 Grandkids, Scott, Kaci, Jeremy, Austin, Breanna, Ashley, Blake, Kendra, Nikki, Kerrah, Bailey, Thomas; and 19 great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell “Bo” Day; mother, Beulah Leona Ware; father, James Henry Usry; sister, Carroll Ann Reid; son, Kenneth Wayne Basham Jr.; grandson, Shane Freeman, and great grandson, Charlie Reese Watts.

The family has entrusted Morgan Funeral Home with the arrangements.

Funeral service will be at 2p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 until 2p.m.

Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest cemetery.
