Kaylie Hayden Smith, 33, of Attalla, passed away on June 27, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Kyi Chumley officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be for the immediate family on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Kaylie attended and graduated from Etowah High School with the Class of 2011. Soon after graduation, Kaylie became a mother to her daughter, Anzley Dawn Smith, and her son, Masyn Wrangler Smith. Kaylie had a deep love for her children and her family. She would give all she had—and sometimes more—for someone else. Kaylie was also a daddy’s girl and loved going with him to the racetrack. We are comforted in knowing that she is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father and reunited with her daddy once again.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Lee Chumley, and her grandfather, Cleveland Chumley Jr.
Kaylie is survived by her daughter, Anzley Smith; her son, Masyn Smith; her mother, Lori Birdwell; her stepfather, Greg Birdwell; her brother, Kyi (Angie) Chumley; her stepbrothers, Erin (Brena) Birdwell and Micah (Olivia) Birdwell; her aunt, Vicki Wood; her uncle, Jeff (Ruth) Chumley; her cousins, Braxton Wood and Tabatha (Billy) Dejarnett; her nephews, Kyler, Zane, Asher, and Barrett Chumley, and Tucker and Weston Cornelius; her niece, Oakland Birdwell; her grandmothers, Carol Chumley and Gaynell Cooper; and her grandfather, Bobby Cooper.
Special thanks to Debra Scott.
