Born in Flagstaff Arizona on December 9th, 1981 to parents, Doris B Kelly and Dennis R Monroe. Krystal spent most of her childhood in San Bernardino, CA and attended Pacific High School, where she made many life-long friends. She played the flute in the marching band and graduated in 1991. After high school, Krystal proudly served in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic and was honorably discharged before settling down in Gadsden, AL. A woman of many talents, she was a paralegal, a teacher, a sharpshooter, and had a passionate for writing and poetry that would rival Edgar Allen Poe as she wrote under the pseudonym "The Southern Scribe". But no passion came close to the one that gave her life purpose and meaning- Being a mother. She was the most loving, devoted mom a young boy could ask for and dedicated her life to it. She loved hard and made sure those of us around her knew how proud she was of us.
Krystal was looking forward to returning to the church choir and sharing many adventures with her son Myles, including trips to Tigers for Tomorrow, Lego-Land and abroad. She spent her free time planning new activities for the two of them and dreamt of a time where she was healthy enough to show her son the world, because he was hers.
We can find solitude in knowing that Krystal's faith was written into stars and unwavering. She was baptised at a young age and continued to be a faithful believer in Jesus Christ until the day she died- just as her mother and father before her. She will be missed dearly by all those that knew her and the space we hold for her in our hearts can never be replaced.
Krystal is survived by:
Her son, Myles Turner
Her brothers, Jason Monroe, Andrew Pelkey, Justin Monroe, Dennis Monroe Jr. and her sister, Jennifer Monroe.
Krystal was preceded in death by her mother, Doris B Pelkey and her father Dennis R Monroe
