

Taylor passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Gadsden. As a young man he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball and golf; as well as coaching women's fast-pitch softball. He was a huge fan of Alabama football and the women's softball team. He also enjoyed treasure hunting at Saturday morning yard sales and hanging out with family and friends at his place on the river. He retired from Vulcan Materials.
Taylor was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Frankie Calvert Hamilton, his parents, William David Hamilton and Bonnie Crain Hamilton, his brothers, Hugh Don and James Hamilton, his sisters, Bobbie Jean Chumley, Bertie Ruth Martin, and infant sisters, Mary Nell and Doris June Hamilton.
Taylor is survived by his daughter, Staci Hamilton, his sister, Carol Petty, his brother-in-law and best friend, Phil Petty and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Drs. Jaiswal, Tummala, Nordness, Perry and G. Patel, nurses in the ICU at Riverview Regional Medical Center, especially, Lisa, Karen, Dawn, and Allison, Gentiva Hospice, and Pastor Todd Walker.
