Lamar Nelson

Lamar was a devoted family man and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and working on projects. He was always happiest staying busy and putting his hands to work.

His faith was an important part of his life. Lamar dearly loved his church and his church family at New Life Baptist Church, where he found fellowship, friendship, and a place to share his faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Nelson and parents, W.C. and Janice Nelson.

Lamar is survived by sons, Tim (Jana) Nelson and Gary (Pam) Nelson, along with extended family and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Lamar leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His faith, kindness, and love for his family and church family will be remembered for years to come.
