Leo Ray Lewis, age 86 of Walnut Park, departed this life on January 13, 2019. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, from 6-8pm, at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 2pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery.
Mr. Lewis served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Jacksonville State University, worked at Republic Steel for 42 years, and served as a lay minister and was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joye Streip Lewis.
He is survived by his four children, Terry J. Lewis (Nancy), Jon S. Lewis (Fay), Phillip A. Lewis (Jamie), and LeAnna Lewis; his four grandchildren, Anna Marie Lewis, Katy Lewis Henry (Josh), Tyler J. Lewis (Steph), and Scotty Lewis; and two great grandchildren, Aiden Wayne Henry and Collin Ray Henry.

Mr. Lewis’s nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Bailey, Judge William Rhea, Tim Porter, and Joey Amberson.
