Liliana Grace Goodrich born April 5, 2018 gained her angel wings January 3, 2019 surrounded by family and close friends. Liliana Grace was born with Mabry Syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder and was the 14th case known world wide with her specific gene mutation. Liliana spent most of her life in Children’s of Alabama’s NICU. Liliana completed part of her bucket list including, getting discharged home, spending Christmas at home with her family, opening a Christmas present with her sister, seeing the sunshine, feeling the wind against her face, got licked by a dog, tasted chocolate, and in her final breaths she released a balloon into the sky from Children’s of Alabama’s garden. Liliana is greatly missed by her parents Adam and Katie Goodrich, her loving big sister Autumn Rose Goodrich, maternal grandparents Mari and Garret Malone, paternal grandparents, Tina Kelly, Daniel Engle, Ross and Trudie Goodrich, maternal Great Grandparents Becky and Thomas Malone and Faye Starks, paternal Great Grandparents Mary and Douglas Engle and Sharon and Clyde Dobson, God Parents Brianna and Timothy Kelly, God siblings Dillan, Annabella and Thallia, honorary God Sister Emleigh Ridens and close friends who acted as Aunts and Uncles including, Jessica Downey, Brian and Jennie Ridens, Jackie Pepin, NICU staff Kristi, RN, Jan, CRNP, Wendy RRT, Jane, RN and Lynn, RN. A very special thank you to the staff at Children’s of Alabama including Mary-Ellen, RN who worked so hard for Liliana to be the first baby ever to be discharged from their NICU on home bipap and to the staff at Boston Children’s Hospital. As our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Liliana is smiling down from the floor of Heaven, and will feel her in every breeze and every ray of sunshine.
Memorial Service will be held at 4p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2018 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with visitation prior to the service from 3 until 4p.m.
