

Graveside services will be held at Rainbow Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12:00pm. Bro. Greg Jacob will officiate.
Linda was born on March 9, 1945, in Attalla, Alabama. A devoted member of the Baptist faith, she graduated from Etowah High School in 1963. Linda retired from K-Mart and spent many years cleaning houses, always bringing care and dedication to her work. Known for her warm and welcoming spirit, Linda never met a stranger. She loved to dance and was the life of every gathering—whether at the river, her home, or even in the hospital. Her vibrant presence was unmistakable, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Phillips (aka Summer Blonde); father, George Dewey Hanson; mother, Audrey Kelley Hanson; sisters, Patricia Hanson and Brenda Hanson; brother, George Hanson; nephew, Dale Phillips; and niece, Kimberley Ray Brown.
Linda is survived by her son, Shane Phillips; daughter-in-law, Kandi Phillips; granddaughter, Brandi Rich; brother, Randy Hanson; aunts, Nancy Dollar, and Terri Beam; nieces, Tonya Tunen, Tanya Ogles, Jenny Mosler (Tobi), Cheyenne Hanson, Jessica Omenus (Max), Audra Baker, Delyn Hanson, Toni Sharpe, and Sandy Jacobs (Greg); nephews, Todd Barber, Rodney Cameron, and Buford “Boots” Cameron; along with a host of great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Patrick Yancy, Jason Wood, Joey Bishop, Tim Shaneyfelt, Shane “Slackey” Stevens, and Jon Barefoot.
Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Jackson, Jeff Gardner, Alan Johnson, Joseph Gossett, Clint Secrest, Nathan Johnson, Neal Gibbs, and Bart Howard.
