Louise Cofield Cornutt

Mrs. Louise Cofield Cornutt, age 88 of Reece City passed away on April 1, 2018. A memorial service and interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Thursday April 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Earl Mitchell and Russell Machen will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory announcing. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church of Attalla. Professionally she worked as an administrative clerk at several locations including the medical practice of Dr.’s Ennis and Simpson, and also at General Forrest Middle School. In past years she had loved to travel with her husband, but later on stayed in touch with her many friends and loved ones with frequent phone calls and through Facebook. The Gaither Vocal Band was her favorite and she attended many concerts and would watch their tapes for hours. She was preceded in death by; her parents, R.L. and Sudie Pearl Cofield; Her two brothers, Ray & Louis; two nephews, Benji Carroll and Michael Norris; and her precious daughter, Lisa Stagg Cornutt. She is survived by; Her devoted husband of 66 years, John Paul, Daughter, Susan Machen ( Russell), Granddaughter, Lauren Machen Puckett (Joseph) Great grandchildren, Hudson, Grayson and Raegan Puckett. Sister, Patricia Wilson Special niece Kay Carroll, Along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to your favorite charity. Special thanks are extended to H.B. Thompson, M.D. and also to the staff of Kindred Hospice.
