Margaret was born in Morgan County Alabama, and resided in Southside for most of her adult life. She was an active and faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where she was a steadfast nursery worker until disease took her away. Margaret loved children, not just her own precious grands and great grands, but the many who she doted on in the church nursery as well. Her warmth could be felt by all that encountered her and she will be remembered by the many who loved her as humble and kind, a supportive and patient matriarch, and an affectionate “Mawmaw” to the many children she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Iretta Alexander and son-in-law, Tommy Stinson.
She leaves behind;
Daughter, Diane Stinson Nelson (Andy) of Weaver.
Son, Jimmy Farmer (Brenda) of Alexandria.
Daughter, Vickie Brewer (Mike) of Pinson.
Grandchildren; Allison Williams (Tim) of Southside, Adam Stinson of Hokes Bluff, Chris Nelson of Birmingham, Jeremy Howell of Pinson, Jennifer Howell of Birmingham, and Joshua Brewer of Birmingham.
Great-grandchildren; Mollie and Macie Williams, Maddie and Ian Stinson, and Hanna Brewer.
Siblings; Sam Alexander, Kay Burns (Wayne), Linda Moses (Jerry), and Reetta Christopher (Wade).
Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff of the Memory Unit at North Hill Nursing Home and Rehab. Thanks also to Nurse Valerie of Oasis Hospice for your guidance and compassion.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
