

A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday for an hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 P.M.
Early on in life Mr. Green assisted his family with the day to day operations of running their family farm. Mark then began a career serving as a corrections officer in Blount County, which he continued doing for several decades until his retirement. Mark was a faithful fan of the Auburn Tigers and because of his tall stature was known to his friends by many nicknames including "Buzzard" and "Lurch".
Those preceding him in passing include his father, Logan “Chester” Green; brother, Randall Green and many aunts and uncles.
He leaves behind many loving family members to cherish his memory including his wife, Betty Green. Mother, Annie Sue Green. Children, Justin Green, Catey Green and Tanya Abernathy (Terrell). Grandchildren- Jordan Abernathy, Audrey Kristen Moon (Bubba), Sarah (Nick) Hutt.
Mother in law, Doris Sheeler, Sister, Sherry Hitchcock (Jack). Nephew, Chad Hitchcock. Along with many more grands, great-grands, and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Children’s Hospital of Alabama or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
Honorary pallbearers will be cousins and all of the nurses, doctors and staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Centers MICU and Sixth floor.
