Mark was a resident of Ashville and attended Ashville High School. He was a devoted member of Victory Baptist Church, where his faith in God and love for his church was an important part of his life.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alice Miller; his brother, William Miller; and his sister, Edwina Miller.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Deborah Miller. Mark and Deborah shared 30 years together. Their story began when Deborah was working in a doctor’s office, and Mark became her patient. He would forever remain her favorite patient—and the love of her life.
Mark is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Miller; his lifelong best friend, Bill Davis; his bonus mom, Ella McCord; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Mark was a hard worker who loved his family deeply. He especially enjoyed spending time on the farm. Although he would proudly tell you that he “raised nothing and grew nothing,” he sure loved playing with his big toys. Whether he was working around the farm, enjoying his toys, or simply spending time with those he loved, Mark found joy in the simple things in life.
He also enjoyed fishing and never seemed to mind a little time spent outdoors. Above all, Mark loved God, his family, and his church. He was a man who worked hard, loved hard, and left his mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Mark will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family, his faith, his friendship, and the many memories and laughs he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. A memorial service celebrating Mark’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
Mark’s earthly journey is complete, but his faith assures those who loved him that this is not goodbye forever. He is now at home with his Lord and Savior, and one day those he loved will see him again.
