

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
JoAnne was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and a proud native of Alabama City. She graduated from Emma Sansom High School and moved to Rainbow City where she spent many years serving others as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
As a member of the lunchroom staff at Southside High School, she was known for her kindness and caring spirit. Above all, JoAnne cherished her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family and friends.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, Albert J. Hurtt and Flossie Mae Hurtt; and sister, Carolyn Davis.
JoAnne is survived by her husband, Michael Rand Moon, Sr.; her sons, Kenny Clevenger (Brandi), Michael Moon II, and Matthew Moon; her sisters, Linda Stough, Elizabeth Hyatt (James), and Kathy Gamblin (Randall); and grandchildren, Isaiah Moon, and Ellie Clevenger, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Hyatt, Steve Stough, Anthony Hyatt, Clint Franklyn, Cody Lackey, Isaiah Moon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Hyatt, Randall Gamblin, and Rick Kemp.
Special thanks are given to the nurses, staff, and caregivers at ACG Hospice.
