To everyone who knew her, Mildred Parker was “Granny” She touched many lives with her encouragement and wisdom. Her life was dedicated to the family she loved so much, her community and most of all her Savior Jesus. She was a member of Altoona Methodist Church.
Granny was a student and teacher of God’s word, teaching Bible study and Sunday school for years. A true prayer warrior, it was common to find her praying and counseling others around her kitchen table.
May lives were changed by her witness. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed many facets of the art. With handcrafted blankets Granny expressed her love and blessings to countless babies throughout the years. Granny loved to laugh and have fun. Her sweet smile will be greatly missed by all.
