Paul Wesley Griffey

Funeral Services for Paul will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL. on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery, Gadsden AL. Bro. John Copeland and Paul's brother-n-law, Timothy Lasseter to officiate.

Paul was born in Etowah County, AL. on December 13, 1951, and resided in Attalla, AL. He graduated from Sardis High School with the Class of 1970. Paul was an employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for many years. He was a member of the Gadsden Shrine Club and Elks Club. Paul loved and lived life to the fullest through his acts of kindness. He loved his family and friends more than life itself and he never met a stranger. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel and Flora Gray Griffey.

Paul is survived by his 3 brothers and 2 sisters, James Harold (Zeffrie) Griffey, Larry Joe (Anita) Griffey, Perry Lamar (Faye) Griffey, Helen Griffey (Thomas) Bates, and Jane Griffey (Timothy) Lasseter; many nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly; his special niece and her husband, Tammy Bates Gidley and Mark Gidley; and his dearest companion (his dog), Carly Simon.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Derrick Griffey, Art Winters, Daniel Bates, Taylor Gidley, Colby Jobson and Dusty Folds.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Center Well Home Health, GRMC Nurses and Staff, and Southern Beacon Hospice.
