Rickey "Rick" Lynn Garrett

Rickey Lynn Garrett was a 1969 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. He was retired from Fisher Industrial Services, Glencoe AL. Rick was an avid Alabama football fan, and could always be heard giving everyone a big “Roll Tide”! He loved sitting on the porch, drinking his coffee and listening to his favorite group, The Isaacs. Rick was a wonderful cook and loved helping prepare meals for family gatherings. He also loved spending time and taking care of his grand-pups, Chipper and Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jarome “Jake” D. Garrett and Bernice Freeman Garrett; brothers, Doyle Garrett and Gerald Garrett; sister Betty Roberson; wife, Darlene Garrett; and son Adam Wayne Garrett, Sr.

Rick was survived by his daughter, Amanda (Terry) Vest; grandson, Adam Wayne Garrett Jr.; first wife and dear friend, Martha Wayne Garrett; brothers, Bobby (Phyllis) Garrett, Bill (Lois) Garrett; chosen grandchildren, Tracy (Lance) Morgan, Josh (Holly) Vest, Emily (Dustin) Otwell; chosen great grand-children, Baylee Morris and Carter Vest; special loved ones, Christi, Nic and Virginia Gottschalk, Daniel Smith, Brian Vaughn, Angela Brandenstein; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved dearly.
