Ricky Hampton

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on May 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Chapel services will follow on May 27, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

Pastor Steve Stewart will officiate.

Ricky was known for his love of family, sports, and especially cheering on the Auburn Tigers. Whether watching a game, talking about sports with friends, or sharing stories from his younger years, he brought passion and joy to those around him.

Above all, he loved his family deeply. He will be remembered for his strength, sense of humor, kindness, and the way he made people feel loved and welcomed.

Ricky is preceded in death by Suzanne Churchill Hampton, and parents, Norman and Helen Hampton.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Melissa Lamberth Hampton; children, Kimberley (Tony) Kiser, Scott Hampton, and Staci Kellett, Chase Lamberth, Cooper Lamberth, Caiti Lamberth; grandchildren, Noah Brown, Trevor Kiser, Trent Cross, Briley Kellett, Lili Kiser, Gatlen Kellett, Hollie Lamberth, and Adaline Brown; chosen family, David (Tanya) Woodard, Rex (Pam) Jones, Phillip Wise, Steve (Nancy) Stewart, Steve (Sandra) Salvador.

Ricky is also survived by his former stepdaughter, April Churchill, and family.

Pallbearers will be Noah Brown, Trevor Kiser, Trent Cross, Tony Kiser, Beau Stewart, Chase Lamberth.

Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Prince, Lynn Driskell, Chuck Medders, Ricky Armstrong, Mike McKenzie, David Lipscomb, and Dani Bone.

Special thanks are given to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at UAB Hospital.
