Sandra Inez Davis

Sandra Davis, age 72, of Ashville went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb 21st while surrounded by her family. She was born on August 5, 1944 and wed her husband of 52 years, Robert (Bo) Davis in Rainbow City in November 1964. She was a sweet, devoted, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church in Ashville and preceded in death by her parents J.V and Edna Wilkes and her husband’s parents Robert France and Vera Dean Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert Bo Davis, daughter Angie Cornutt (Ray Sanders), son Tim Davis (Lynne), sisters Ramona Wooten (Paul), Charlotte Phifer (Gene), Debbie Mackey (Randy), brother Jimmy Wilkes (Linda), David Wilkes (Christy), brother-in-law Dr John Davis (Peggy), sister-in-law’s Roberta Ryan (Tommy), Shirley Segers, and grandsons Logan Cornutt (Karsen), Collin Cornutt (Anne), Landon Cornutt, Hayden Davis and Will Davis and a host of nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral home on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 and the funeral services will be held Saturday at Gum Springs Baptist Church at_2:00 pm and presided over by Chris Cornutt and Bill Davis.

Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed but we take hope that she is with our Lord and Savior and no longer has any physical pain. One of her favorite scriptures was Psalm 4:7-8 “You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.”

Mrs. Davis will lie in state at the church from 1pm-2pm at the church.
