A visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Chaplin Carol Wasser will officiate.
Shirley was a life-long resident of Attalla, AL. She retired from Lee Plant in Albertville AL.
Shirley was preceded in death by husband, Marlon Cook; special friend, Steve Thomas; parents, Jim and Violet Stokes; brothers, L.C. White, Ernest, Johnnie, and Bufford Stokes; sisters, Kathleen Johnson, Doris Maxwell, and Mary Scott.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bussey; son, Tommy Teal (Adriana Nogareda [Brianna Simpson]); and grandsons; Aaron Teal and Connor Teal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Veterans or Wounded Warriors Project.
