Funeral Services for Thomas "Moe" Bryant of Wellington (formerly of Gadsden) will be Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m. in the Chapel with services beginning at 2 p.m. Brother Larry Perkins officiating. Thomas passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, after a lengthy illness with COPD. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. There will be no graveside services. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.

Moe was a published country music songwriter and singer. He was formerly a member of the Nashville Songwriter's Association International, and competed in many talent competitions and events. He won the local True Value Country Showdown competition in 1989 and had the opportunity to compete at the National Competition hosted by Tammy Wynette and Jim Stafford. As one friend recently commented: "Heaven's Choir sounds a little sweeter today".

His survived by his sisters: Darlene Childress Reed, Cathy Dumas (Ron) Shirey, Martha Kate (Charlie) Williams, Shirley (Jerry) Walden, Jackie O'bryant and Phillip, Brothers: Harold Bryant, and Frankie (Susan) Bryant. He is also survived by his life friend James Johnson and was a father to his three chosen nephews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children whom he greatly adored.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lee and Pauline Bryant; brothers Charles, Larry, and Billy Bryant; sister, Glenda Hendricks; as well as Virginia, Randall, and Nellie Bryant.

Pallbearer's will be nephews.
