Mrs. Tina Maria Ledbetter Clowdus, age 62, of Steele, Alabama, passed away on July 28, 2026. Tina was a faithful Christian, a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and the heart of her home. She lived a life marked by quiet service, unwavering love, and deep faith in God.
A 1982 graduate of Etowah High School, Tina dedicated her life to caring for those she loved most. Her greatest joy was serving the Lord while creating a warm and welcoming home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Whether she was preparing meals, celebrating holidays, or simply spending time with her family, Tina found happiness in life’s simple blessings.
Tina’s love story with her husband, David Lee Clowdus, began at a hot dog dinner and continued at a church function. Encouraged by David’s mother, he finally asked Tina on a date. That one invitation blossomed into a beautiful marriage that lasted 42 years. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love, raising three daughters and one son while creating countless treasured memories.
Anyone who knew Tina knew her as a sweet, funny, and kind-hearted woman who could brighten a room with her smile and gentle sense of humor. She found joy in watching the birds outside her window, relaxing with Christmas movies no matter the season, gathering around the table for games of Yahtzee and Rook, and making lasting memories with her family. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and precious great-granddaughter, who brought endless happiness to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Royce Ledbetter and Johnny Ledbetter; and her sisters, Betty Downs and Shirley Reneman.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 42 years, David Lee Clowdus; her children, Amy Jones (Wesley), Emily Williams (Josh), Anna Elkins, and David Forrest Clowdus; her grandchildren, Sara Pesqueda (Jaden), Jacob Jones, Hana Jones, Noah Jones, and Sophia Gutierrez; her precious great-granddaughter, Lydia Pesqueda; her sister, Linda Hicks (Allen); her brothers, Gary Ledbetter (Deborah) and Donnie Ledbetter (Vickie); along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whom she loved dearly.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Williams, Wesley Jones, Alex Gutierrez, Jaden Pesqueda, Jacob Jones, and Noah Jones.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at Victory United Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Robert McClung will officiate. Burial will follow in Victory United Baptist Church Cemetery.
Though her family grieves her absence, they find comfort knowing Tina’s faith has become sight. Her legacy of love, devotion, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know her
