Graveside Services for Trellis Autrey “Tag” Gilliland, who passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the age of 83, will be held at Rainbow Memorial Garden on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
Autrey was a welder in the steel industry prior to retirement. He loved and participated in drag car racing and was a talented mechanic that could fix anything including old cars. He was an avid Alabama Football fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul Marian and Mattie Lorene Stanfield Gilliland and his son, Daniel Gilliland.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bethel Gilliland; daughter. Darlene (Daran) Waters; grandson, Alex Jones (Zoe Clem); granddaughter, Emily (Colt) Thompson; great grandson, Sam Thompson and future great granddaughter, Olivia Thompson.
