

Dolores married the love of her life, Ben Howard Malone on June 1, 1956 and they were married for 68 wonderful years.
Dolores graduated from Gadsden High School in 1955. Soon after graduation, Howard and Dolores were married and made their home in Gadsden, AL. They were members of the First United Methodist Church of Attalla.
Dolores was a member of the Ethel Hendry Guild and Night Circle of United Methodist Women and the Administrative Board at the First Methodist Church of Attalla. She was a member of the Antiquarian Society of Gadsden, Dance Club of Gadsden and several Bridge Clubs. She loved to play Mahjone, socializing with friends and planning parties.
She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Malone and her parents, Willard and Gertrude Haynes.
Dolores is survived by her daughters; Becky (Doug) Morgan, Birmingham, AL; and Brenda (John) Gregory, Southaven, MS; grandsons, Douglas Malone Morgan and John Griffin (Joanne) Gregory; nephew, Shaun (Carey) Malone; and nieces, Peggy (David) Hayes and Deborah (Randy) Jones.
Funeral services will be held at the Ruth R. Cross Memorial Chapel, located at Forrest Cemetery, in Gadsden, Alabama, on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM prior to the service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dennis Hayes to officiate.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation for Shelly, Casie and staff with ACG Hospice; Christy, Felicia and staff with Butterfly Home Care; and Jamie and staff of Cherry Creek Village.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Attalla.
Morgan Funeral Chapel will oversee the arrangements.
