William Aubrey Gaskins, 76, of Attalla went to live with our Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born to Paul and Elizabeth Gaskins in Henry County, Tennessee on May 28, 1941. His mother died while he was still an infant. His father was killed in World War II when Aubrey was two years old. He was raised by his loving maternal grandparents, A.P. and Mary McCuiston.
Aubrey joined the army in 1963 and served two years in Germany. He married Frances Lucille Stover on September 5, 1971. They set up housekeeping in Alabama City, Alabama. They had two children. Later, Aubrey moved his family to the Rockledge community of Attalla, where they remained the rest of his life. Aubrey worked 38 years for TVA. Aubrey Gaskins is survived by his wife, Frances, his son, Anthony
(Amanda) Gaskins and his daughter, Holly (Adam) Hogeland. He had four grandchildren. Aubrey was a loving father and grandfather. He leaves behind many other loving family members and friends.
Aubrey was baptized as a child into the Church of Christ and remained a faithful believer throughout his life.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 9 at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Earl Mitchell, will immediately follow. Burial will be a private service in the
family cemetery.Pallbearers will be Hunter Hogeland, Philip Akins, Tadd Wallace, Trent
Wallace, Kris Puckett, Jimmy Fitts, and Matthew Stover.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the 4th floor ICU staff at
Gadsden Regional Medical Center and the staff of Gadsden Health Care.
