William Phillips

A graveside service for William will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at The Church at Pleasant Hill, 5537 Washington Valley Rd, Springville, AL 35146 and will be officiated by Jody Gilliland.

William enjoyed motorcycle riding, bluegrass music, and going to Georgia for lottery tickets.

Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Rubye Grace Phillips; his Parents, Dover and Roberta Phillips; Daughter, Judy Bowlin; Sister Shirley Perkins; Son-in-law Joe Clifton; Grandson-in-law Tommy Godfrey; and In-Laws, Sylvester and Dora Gilliland.

He is survived by his Daughters Cathy Clifton, Renee (George) Came, Grace (Mike) Romine; Sons, Wes Phillips, Ben (Julie) Phillips, Joey Phillips; Son-in-law Barry Bowlin; six Grandchildren, Mary Godfrey, Matt (Summer) Bowlin, David (Dana) Came, Bart (Sarah) Came, Michael (Jennifer) Phillips, Taylor (Michael) Romine; ten Greatgrandchildren and two Great Greatgrandchildren; Brother, John (Anita) Phillips; Brothers-in-law, Corley Gilliland, Lee (Mary) Gilliland, Bill (Jody) Gilliland; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
