ATTICA
Dick A. Zurbuch, 84, of Attica, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Copley, Ohio, to the late Frank S. and Ada I. (Applebee) Zurbuch. Mr. Zurbuch was a graduate of Copley High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Zurbuch was the owner and operator of the Attica Oliver Store and a farmer, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Attica Methodist Church, past president of the former Attica Rotary and salesman for the Attica Farmers Exchange, 1949-1957.
Mr. Zurbuch is survived by his wife, Virginia (Morrison) Zurbuch, whom he married March 25, 1951; son, Dick S. (Cathy) Zurbuch of Georgetown, Ohio; daughter, Kay L. (Stephen) Bennett of Portsmouth, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Zurbuch; and three sisters, Rose Cleland, Emily Shumaker and Helen Jordon.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin St., Attica. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Attica-Venice Township Cemetery, Attica.
