Ethel M Reed

Ethel M. Reed (87) of Attica, passed Friday, December 23, 2016 at St Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born June 4, 1929 in New Washington to the late John Fred and Rosa (Feichtner) Strohm and was married to Haldon "Bud Reed" on December 6, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Reed worked in the cafeteria at Attica School for many years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, Junior Lutherans and was involved in all facets of the church including the ladies circle, sewing and church was the focus of her life. She worked in the art building of the Attica Fair and enjoyed spending time with her sisters and family.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her son: Donald E. Reed of Bucyrus, 4 daughters: Jean Bores of Willard, Mary Reed of Tiffin, Susan (Jim) Graham of Tiffin and Joyce (Gary) Brown of Hagerstown, Maryland. 6 grandchildren: Kip Bisignano, Kim Kuenzli, Jodi Zeigler, Josh Graham, Matt Brown and Teela Brown, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Kenny (Doris) Strohm of New Washington and Pete Strohm of Tiro, and 2 sisters: Lulu Gearhart of Crestline and Lillian McDougal of Plymouth. In addition to her husband Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by 6 brothers: Marvin, George, Orlo, Weldon, Edgar, and Loren Strohm and 2 sisters: Geneva and Janice Strohm.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica with Pastor Edward Hunker officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:30AM at the church. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Twp. Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home or the Bethlehem Lutheran Church through the funeral home.
