Martha S Ruffing

Martha J. Ruffing age 86 of Attica passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 at The Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin. She was born July 25, 1925 in Reed, TWP. the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Walliser) Schreiner. Martha was employed at the General Electric Bellevue Lamp Plant. Martha was a 1944 graduate of Attica High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church in Attica where she was a member of its Altar Rosary Society. She married Wilbur Ruffing June 14, 1947 at Reed Assumption Church, he preceded he in Death in 2002. Survivors include her sons, Bill (Susan) Ruffing of Attica, Gerald (Marleen) Ruffing of Attica, Robert (Janet) Ruffing of Republic, Dennis (Diana) Ruffing of Republic, daughter, Paula (Curtis) Karr of Attica, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sisters, Betty Roth of Bellevue and Ruth Foos of Attica. Her parents and husband, preceded her in death. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Lindsey – Foos – Kocher Funeral Home, 1295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica where a wake service will be held at 1:30 pm. The funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at Our Lady Of Hope Church, 320 Stump Pike Road, Attica at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Attica. Memorials may be made to Ruffing Family Care Center activities fund or Seneca East Athletics Boosters. I am so sorry, Paula, to hear your mother passed. I understand she went peacefully. God blessed her with a good long life surrounded by a family that loved her. We should all be so fortunate. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
