

Mary L. Beamer (91) of Attica passed Sunday, June 26, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Toledo. She was born May 27, 1925 in Bloomville to the late Frank and Mary Clara (Watson) Ziegler. Mrs. Beamer worked many jobs in her life. During WWII she was a “Rosie the Riveter” in Cleveland but returned home during planting and harvest season, worked at the GE Plant in Bellevue, an accountant at Beamer’s Garage, worked at the Attica Post Office and a seamstress at J.C. Penny’s in Sandusky. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Flat Rock, Ohio, Attica Community Garden Club member, volunteer for the Seneca East Public Library and enjoyed gardening, quilting, skiing, and camping.
Mrs. Beamer is survived by 2 daughters: Bonnie (Raymond) Rohe of Sigel, PA and Barbara (Andrew) Frisch of Attica. 4 grandchildren: Stacy (Gary) Blatz of Rockford, IL; Summer (Bryan) Dorcik of Biloxi, MS; Dana (Shannon) Dixie of Tampa, FL; and Ryan (Jessica) Frisch of Willard. 5 great grandchildren and 1 sister: Betty June Henney of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by parents, husband: Clinton J. Beamer in 2011, 3 sisters: Amelia Snyder, Twila Ledbetter, and Eva Stockmaster, 2 brothers: Marion Robert Ziegler and Glenn Ziegler and granddaughter: Amanda Frisch.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Flat Rock with Pastor Jonathan Williams of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 5-8 P.M. at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica.
