Peggy I. Biller (92) of Attica, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. She was born October 13, 1926 to the late Samuel and Thelma (Bowsher) Briggs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dorman Biller in 2015, 3 brothers: Karl, Thomas and Larry Briggs, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by: her daughter Judy (Dale) Fry of Attica, and son David (Linda) Biller of Lima; 7 grandchildren: Jamie (Angie) Keaton, Jennifer (Don) Essinger, Brett Vorhees, Curtis (Dee) Vorhees, James (Britni) Reinig, Dan (Gina) Biller, and Joe (Danielle) Biller; 16 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; brothers: James (Carlene) Briggs, Lowell (Lola) Briggs and sister: Linda Allen.
Peggy worked at the Depot in Shelby, the grocery store in Attica, and co-owned J & P Upholstery with her daughter for 20 years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was a very active participant in the ladies’ Circle, Bible study, sewing, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Peggy was a member of the Attica Grange, the Farm Bureau, Attica Ladies’ Literary Guild, Just Neighbors Club, and was a member of the former Attica Hee-Haw Gang. Peggy and her late husband, Dorman, loved western style square dancing. She also loved cooking, gardening, sewing, reading, and took great pride in being a homemaker.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 326 South Main Street, Attica, with Pastor Edward Hunker officiating. Friends may call at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Township Cemetery, Attica.
