Adriana La Sala Rogers

Adriana La Sala Rogers, age 99, passed away on December 5, 2023 in Grass Valley, CA. She was born in Foggia, Italy on February 26, 1924. In 1945 she married Tommy Rogers, a Newcastle local, whom she met in Italy during his World War II service.

When she arrived to America in 1945 she lived on the Rogers' family pear ranch in Newcastle. In 1954 they moved to Christian Valley to raise their family. She worked at PG&E, then Lad & Lassie children's dress shop and was later a manager at Ralston's dress shop in downtown Auburn.

Over the years she traveled Italy frequently to visit her parents and siblings. Adriana is survived by her sons, Tommy and Robert Rogers, daughter-in-law Cindy, and grandchildren Thomas and Adriana.

Adriana was a loving Italian mother and grandmother who was an outstanding cook and spoiled her family with her food. She is missed dearly. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Sutter Hospice.

A rosary for Adriana will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn, California 95603.

A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1162 Lincoln Way, Auburn, California 95603.

Burial to follow at New Auburn Cemetery, 1040 Collins Drive, Auburn, California 95603.
